Inspired by his parents’ work, La Ribot’s five-year-old son Mateo unexpectedly equipped himself with an iPhone and conducted some independent experiments in dancing with a hand-held camera. In Tokyo Travel, 2010, La Ribot edits the young choreographer’s footage into a one-minute-long piece. The video was included in Genevan newspaper Le Temps’ online Christmas issue the same year as part of a seasonal gift to its readers.
