A two-volume publication by Merz, Gent, Centre national de la Danse, Pantin, and Galeria Soledad Lorenzo, Madrid, 2004, La Ribot focuses on the artist’s Distinguished Pieces series.

Volume one was compiled by the artist and forms a visual sourcebook for the Distinguished Pieces. It reproduces formative images of many kinds: advertisements and ephemera, art-historical images and news photographs; photocopies of key texts; pages from the artist’s sketchbooks and notebooks, documentation of the Distinguished Pieces in performance, and personal photos and memorabilia.

Volume two contains five scholarly essays on the Distinguished Pieces by Adrian Heathfield, José A. Sánchez, Laurent Goumarre, Gerald Siegmund and André Lepecki, plus biographical information on La Ribot and a comprehensive catalogue covering her work from 1985 to 2004.
